The news-media never ceases to irate me and never ceases to confirm, at least in my mind, how pathetically pro-Obama they slant everything. This reporting prejudice even extents to "news" photos.
In the past couple of days, the newspapers that I receive at home have published separate pictures of individuals that are well-known to the general public of our nation. One picture was that of President Obama enjoying himself on June 18th at a baseball game between the Chicago White Sox and the Washington Nationals. The other picture was of Tony Hayward, the chief executive of BP, and was taken June 19th as he watched his yacht race around the Isle of Wight.
As you can imagine, the story that accompanied the Hayward photo blasted the BP executive for taking a "leisure trip" while Americans suffered from the oil spill emanating from a collapsed BP oil rig. Negative comments on Hayward watching his "pricey ship" sail were cited and attributed to such diverse individuals as Rahm Emanuel, Obama's chief-of-staff, and Bobby Pitre, a tattoo shop operator from Larose, La. The accompanying comments to the Obama picture made reference that the President "enjoyed some Friday night baseball" with the evening being "warm, sunny and pleasantly non-muggy".
If Hayward is not to be allowed "off time" because of the oil spill crisis then how is it possible that Obama is granted that same "off time" when not only is there an oil spill crisis but also members of the American military are being killed and maimed daily in foreign wars; when the national unemployment rate stays officially at just beneath 10% and unofficially at 17%; and when the nation debt grows with Communist China staying our biggest creditor? Explain the difference, news media, if you can.
No fault can be placed on either Obama or Hayward for exercising some recreational time. The fault is that of the news media electing to positively slant yet another Obama story while attacking a person for doing the same thing.
By the way, did you know that after watching baseball on Friday Obama went out the very next day, Saturday June 19, and played a round of golf with Vice President Joe Biden? I wonder who watched over our military; our economy; our national debt; and the Gulf of Mexico oil spill while the top two leaders of our nation played a game?
