In a most recent edition of my local newspaper, a decision was made by the editor to re-publish an editorial that had appeared in The Courier-Journal newspaper of Louisville, Kentucky. The said editorial was entitled "... and Barack Obama's leadership abilities". After blasting former President George W. Bush and TV commentator Glenn Beck, The Courier-Journal stated, "We need a president who is in control. We need one who has broad, well-reasoned and thoroughly grounded perspective on the world and the nation. In a word we need a serious president, not some loud-mouth hot dog. And, fortunately for America, we have precisely such a man in Barack Obama."
What a joke!
Is it possible that The Courier-Journal has chosen to ignore the economic disaster in which America is stuck and the unemployment figure that just will not go down and the ever increasing huge debt our nation owes other countries and the multitude of other troubling issues both national and international? Is it possible that The Courier-Journal has chosen to ignore that Obama has been President for almost a year-and-a-half with no good results in any of these worrisome areas? The obvious answer is yes because The Courier-Journal is so left-winged, liberal, progressive and socialist in its own persuasion that it cannot see and therefore cannot report the truth on Obama.
The truth is - Obama is incompetent!
Fortunately this ridiculous newspaper position is not the opinion held by the common citizen and voter of Kentucky. Just today Rasmussen released the results of polls conducted on June 1 across the nation. These polls simply asked if the respondent was pleased with the performance of the Obama Administration. The Kentucky results were that 63% of those asked were anti the Obama efforts while 37% voiced their approval. Nearby Indiana was also anti Obama efforts by 58% to 41%.
These poll results confirm the belief of the public - Obama is incompetent!
What is pointed out by this re-published editorial is that the news media [TV and radio and print] is out of touch with reality when it comes to Obama; have pulled a bag over their own combined heads; and have no knowledge of the feelings of the majority of Americans.
You can say shame on The Courier-Journal and my local newspaper for publishing this opinion but, because of freedom of the press, it is their right to be so shallow. However, the credibility level of both of these papers has sunk to a new low.
