SCARY IMMIGRATION NUMBERS

Because Obama is not interested in addressing the situation of illegal aliens in our nation and has even less desire to curb this huge influx of potential pro-BHO voters, our federal government does little to secure our southern international border. However, the federal court system still handles immigration cases and still reports on its annual activity. The numbers for 2009 are very telling.

In theory each of our Federal District Courts serves approximately the same number of American citizens. In 2009 the Federal District Court for Colorado handled 585 illegal immigrant cases. These same type of handled cases in the Federal Court in Eastern New Jersey reached 910 and in the Manhattan/Bronx Federal District Court there was heard some 1959 cases on defendants charged with violating the American immigration laws.

But, if you had business in the South Texas Federal Court you shared the time of the Court in 2009 with 8801 cases in which the issue before the Court was illegal immigration.

The other Federal District Courts with huge inventories in 2009 of heard illegal immigration cases were:

Western District of Texas Federal Court -- 8435 cases

San Diego District Federal Court -- 5554 cases

Arizona District Federal Court -- 5155 cases

New Mexico District Federal Court -- 3769 cases

Of all Federal District Court cases heard in 2009 in which there was a conviction, 33% involved defendants charged with immigration crimes.

These numbers are indeed impressive, or should I say intimidating, and show how much in effort, time and money our Federal Courts are involved with addressing those individuals who violate American immigration laws. These same statistics also clearly show that the primary location of the illegal alien problem is along the Mexican border. However, when these handled case numbers are compared to even the low estimate of there being 10,000,000 illegal immigrants in our nation, the only reaction has to be one of shock and depression.

How in the world can our nation confront and address over 10,000,000 different situations in which an individual has entered and stayed in America illegally?

This immigration problem is most difficult and, as I have stated before, there is just no simple solution. However, at the very least the border has to be made secure and then efforts can be made to address and resolve the presence of over 10,000,000 illegal aliens in America.
